Carbaryl 85 WP is a general use insecticide which controls over 100 species of insects on citrus, fruit, cotton, forests, lawns, nuts, ornamentals, shade trees, and other crops, as well as on poultry, livestock and pets. It is also used as a molluscicide and an acaricide.

Description

Carbaryl 85 WP is a wide-spectrum carbamate insecticide with contact and stomach action, and slight systemic properties. Carbaryl 85 WP is a cholinesterase inhibitor which controls a wide variety of insect. It is appropriate for use in home gardens, commercial agriculture, and forestry.  It can be used on cotton, fruit, nuts, food crops, ornamentals, and even on poultry, pets, and livestock where necessary. Effective as a molluscicide and acaricide, Carbaryl 85 WP can also be used to treat pest infestations, such as that due to species of lice, on livestock, poultry, pets, and in the case of head lice, on people.

Use

Carbaryl 85 WP is used as pre-harvest treatment of many crops, particularly cotton, rice, maize, vegetables, potatoes and fruit, on ornamentals, turf and shade trees. It is used at dose 0.25-2.0 kg a.i./ha, on more than 120 different crops for the control of Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, and other chewing and sucking insects. Specific dosage depends on different fields and crops.

Application

Fill spray and mix tank with 1/2 to 3/4 the desired amount of water. Start mechanical or hydraulic agitation. Slowly add the required amount of Carbaryl 85 WP, and then the remaining volume of water.  Maintain continuous agitation during mixing and application to assure a uniform suspension.
